Room/Table Construction - Phase 1
O gauge layout (8' x 12' table) with a mix of Lionel, MTH and K-Line Engines/Rolling Stock/Accessories
I did not take too many pictures of the room construction but let me explain. My wife did not want the train layout to stay on the living room floor so my only other option was to take it out into the garage, since I live in Florida I have no basement. I cut my two car garage in half and built an Air Conditioned room with 6 outlets, Carpet, Ceiling Fan and Track lighting.
The table is constructed with a 3/4" plywood base and 2 x 4 support legs. You can not see it in the above pictures but I covered the entire table in 1/4" cork. I purchased the cork from Home Depot and applied it to the table to deaden the sound. That is my son vaccuuming the train room by the way.
